A notan is a Japanese design concept involving the play and placement of light and dark elements as they are placed next to the other in the composition of art and imagery.
I used positive and negative space through the images or sources that I had available to me and basically flipped the black and white to create the positive and negative spaces.
The process I went through was find shapes or images that was be easy for the eyes to know and find, as well as knowing right away the negative and positive areas.
